CITY CLERK

The City Clerk is appointed by Council and is responsible for all City Clerk Department personnel.

The duties of this office include attending all meetings of the City Council and keeping a true and accurate record of all such proceedings; printing of the Council packets; providing notice of its meetings and legally required advertisements; administering oaths; responsible for the centralized records program, including historical/archival records management and disaster records plans and preparations; custodian of the City seal; attesting to all contracts and agreements to which the City is a part; and codification of the City Charter, Code of Ordinances and Land Development Code. Attends all meetings of the City advisory boards and keep a true and accurate record of those proceedings. The duties of this office also include development and administration of a well-rounded public awareness program which involves interaction with diverse groups including City officials, City staff, the media, the public, and other City departments. The City Clerk serves as supervisor of city elections.
